Defining Gender: Who Decides?

[This] is our fundamental problem – we don’t know who God is. And because we do not know who God is, we do not know who we are.

Today while I was online for a school assignment, I found that the Google search engine was promoting “Transgender Awareness Week.” In the 21st century, many people reject the idea that being male or female is based on one’s DNA. Instead, they say that gender is determined by individual feelings. How can we know what to believe about this controversial issue? Amidst the contradictory narratives that strive for our attention, God’s character never changes, and His Word provides answers about who he is and who he created us to be. I hope that the following resources are helpful to you as you seek to consider the topic of gender from a biblical perspective.

*this is a Latin phrase that means, “to God alone be the glory!”

Note: I am not giving an unconditional endorsement to the individuals or organizations represented here but I believe these links represent helpful resources in addressing understanding gender through a biblical worldview. As always, compare everything to unchanging God’s Word.
