Hello Readers,
Happy Fall! It’s hard to believe that it’s already that time of year again – trees changing color, a cool breeze in the air… and don’t forget the pumpkins! Here in rural Georgia, the four seasons are less distinct; I joke to myself that we have the seasons of finter, sprummer, summer, and fall. The other week I watched falling leaves fluttering in the wind before a storm, and I considered the changing seasons in life, not only outside my window.
Personally, I have had a variety of emotional responses in the season of life where I am today, some good and some problematic – a sense of responsibility as a young adult, excitement about the future, discouragement over my limitations, and even discontentment about my current stage of life. Although I may sometimes feel that I am traveling on a treadmill that never goes anywhere, I am thankful to be surrounded by many opportunities to serve others and exercise abilities that I have been given. One of those opportunities is working on the “God Calls it Good” book project with my mom. Most recently, we have submitted our manuscript proposal to yet another publisher, and we have not ruled out the possibility of self-publishing. Thanks for supporting our writing journey! Most importantly we desire that you would know the love of our unchanging Savior – through every season, he is faithful.
Soli Deo Gloria,*
Emily
